Style & Self-Expression

Make every outfit something that reflects you and your personality. Yes, you can wear navy and black together! Brown and black are good too. The textures should be distinct, e.g. shiny and soft. Bold accessories help anchor lively patterns like a bold color purse. Winter white is still in; try layering, wear dark tights for example. If wearing a bold colored dress, just keep accessories to a minimum. The necklace that I designed above can be worn with any color outfit all year round even metallics or under a blazer for a casual office look. I now have a store on Etsy.com where artists sell their handmade items!  It is a great site to find some wonderful artists and their works. Etsy covers all of the arts. I am very into making metalsmithing jewelry right now. It is my new passion but we all know that all things jewelry is my passion! My featured pendant is
The Pure Silver Metal Clay With Swirl Pattern, Copper & Brass Patterned Pendant Soldered Together With Cultured Pearl Accent
This pendant has a very large open bail in the back so you can slide this pendant onto any Omega, chain, rope or I can create a copper  hammered neckwire to fit your neck! The picture below is a wider shot of the neckwire and pendant.

Mixed metal jewelry is so in style now, however, it seems to be a classic trend. If you wish to purchase this pendant you can go to my website store at http://www.youniquedesignsjewels.com/ or my Etsy Store at:

Intense Colors Are In

Intense neon colors in clothing are natural complements to navy and neutrals. Polka-dot clothing is in and being paired with other patterns. Mixing patterns in clothing can be too busy for the eye and hard to put together for some people. My advice would be that if you want to wear an intense color say in a blazer, keep the blouse or top neutral then pair bright colored necklaces and earrings instead like the necklace below from my collection. Check out my website for more necklaces like this one that I designed especially to brighten up an outfit whatever the season!
